5.   Minutes of    The Minutes were reported by Br I Khan. There were no matters arising. The
           AGM 2021       Minutes were moved by Mln S A Asmal and seconded by Mln Ravat.



                          Mln S A Asmal stated:

                          •  The best of mankind is one who benefits mankind the most.
                          •  Everyone will be accountable for those under you.
                          •  The MPB-KZN has been serving for the past 41 years old.
                          •  Initial foundation was laid on sincerity and sacrifice.
                          •  Team works divides the task and multiplies the success.
       6.  Chairman’s     •  Some of the highlights of 2022 are:
           (Ameer’s)             a.  The introduction of the zonal coordinators,
           Report                b.  Implementation of the eight programmes,
                                 c.  effective supervision via Zonal Coordinators,
                                 d.  introduction of the Board of Governors,
                                 e.  partnership with DCS,
                                 f.  successful rollout of the pre-Ramadhaan workshops,
                                 g.  Ramadhaan and Eidhain programs
                                 h.  Community awareness Roadshows.
                          •  Mln took this opportunity to thank all members of the team.
                          •  Short story – Fighting crime with spirituality

                          •  We should not be concerned with where the seed is planted and where it will

                          Br M I Khan started on a positive note by first thanking all key role players.


                          •  He discussed the creation of the Zonal Coordinators – improved efficiency.
                          •  Public awareness programmes carried out.
                          •  Pre-Ramadhaan  workshops.  Thanked  DCS  as  this  lead  to  the  successful
                             implementation of “Ramadhaan 2022 / 1444).
                          •  ZC’s oversee the work on the ground.
       8.  Secretarial    •  Parolee programmes successful. Held quarterly to help and guide parolees.
           Report         •  Welfare meetings held monthly to assist parolees/releasees integrate back
                             into society.
                          •  5 bursaries given this year.
                          •  Post-Ramadhaan feedback meeting held at Westville CC.
                          •  Thanked DCS for allowing fasting rooms during Ramadhaan.
                          •  Thanked Board of Governors for coming on board.
                          •  Challenge is a shortage of SCW’s. 2 new SCW at Westville.
                          •  2023 is earmarked as the year of Halaal.
