Mr Thobogale made the following points:

                          • Getting the offender to reintegrate into society is an extremely demanding
                             task.

       3. DCS • Currently we are a very troubled society and lots of effort is required.
Presentation • GBV is now a pandemic - we need to put our hands together to win the fight.
                          • Every effort should be made to teach the youth to have respect for the elders.
                          • Our efforts should not be restricted to places of worship. We need to go out
in to our communities and make an impact.
                          • We are all a shepherd to our flock; we need to take on that responsibility.
                          • We need to provide victim support as well as family support.
                          • We need to encourage reading and make books available for offenders.

Mln M A Khatieb stressed several key points:

                          • SCW’s are the backbone of the organization.
                          • SCW’s must touch, move and inspire offenders and we need great leaders.
       4. Motivational • MPB-KZN’s and DCS’s Strategic Plans must be aligned as discussed with the
           Message DCS Apex team.

                          • We need to make the right decisions.
                          • Our purpose is to protect the Aqeedah (Beliefs) of our inmates.
                          • We cannot build on negative. We need to change to positive and build on the
                             positive.
